Even this bamboo rod is soft and flexible, the lashing power that comes through the rod grip generated by a sharp rotation and centrifugal force which is the result of a pendulum movement using the shoulder as the fulcrum, shoots a long and tight line that does not fall from the berry.
The picture is showing exactly the moment that the leader has just turned and reached the sweet spot in front of the rock sitting at the opposite shore. And by the later rod work, you can see the tip of the line is reaching toward the upper stream.
Rod: Ushyu Rod 8ft #4, 2pc, Yadake(Pseudosasa japonica / known as arrow bamboo), original V-slit grip, a typical limber rod.
